Summary |
Well I have scored a good one for my first match report, firstly it's hard to write up a report of a match that is about our two teams, and secondly this may have been *AUS*'s last match in the Oceanic Tourney. So with all that in mind here I go. TKOTH First map: Ghost Town I would say the B Team went into this match with high hopes of an upset victory, but from the start of the first map victory must of look too far away to grasp. A Team dominated this map from the start for most of the map, although there was a stage at about the half way point were the B Team had taken control of the zone. Unfortunately for them though the A Team quickly regrouped and took control of the zone again and it was never really threatened for the rest of the map due to some great assaulting and defence shown by BFG, Specty, JB, and FireBird while I (SASR) just cooled my heels camping in the zone. The B Team never gave up though with all members never once giving an inch, REV had taken up a sniper role picking off a few of the A Team as they tried to enter the zone, Sl@ continually tried to lead them to the zone with HD never far behind. ABSIT managed to sneak in the zone a few times and clocked up the most time for the B Team and Def I think never really got into his groove for this one (lucky for the A TEAM). Second map: Malayn Ruins For this map the A Team kept the same line-up and the B Team made a change bringing in Lordoth in replace of ABSIT and HD went MIA??. So the hooter sounded and off we all went tearing down our respective hills racing towards the zone. And like the first map the A Team took control of the zone and never really surrendered it, fighting off constant waves of the B Teams attempts to arrest the zone from them. Again it was the strength in the A Teams assaulting and defending skills which paved the way for the win and a lot of zone time, my hat goes off to FB, JB, Specty and BFG for protecting my ass again. For the B Team Sl@ showed his experience and Lordoth showed his worth, def as usual never threw in the towel and correct me if I'm wrong, from memory REV was peppering the A Team with his sniper skills, but all in all again B Team never gave up, constantly trying different ways to get the zone. Third Map: Jungle Kings The war was won but the match was in no way over, B Team would have been keen to restore some pride in this one. MickDundee came into B Team's line-up and once again A Team kept the tried and proven. I hate to say it but this one was really one way traffic, with all going to plan for A Team, with B Team never getting in the race. It were the same as the rest with JB, Specty, FB, and BFG doing all the hard yards while I sat back in the zone, B Team kept coming though with Sl@ again showing off his gunning skills notching up a healthy score of kills and again Lordoth proved his worth by getting some zone time, def, REV and Mick never giving in and just kept coming. Good Match played by all, keep ya heads up B Team, you caught the A Team on a night when they were hot and I think the result would have been much the same no matter who the opponent was. |
