On the 16 Mar 02 AUS played in round 5 of the CTF tourney against DS.
Aus played as red and therefore had to provide a server which was provided by Hando TAG so thanks very much to him. With DS being an OS squad the lag factor was there but it was more evident on there side not on ours.
AUS won the match on flag count, cos the match was over 5 maps with DS winning the first 2 maps and the 3rd being a draw and then AUS winning the last 2 maps.


MAP 1 Desert Prison

In this map DS came out strong but AUS grabbed the first flag and headed for the flag bay scoring a touch down with the first flag. From then on every single flag was a hard fought battle for both sides, with both the teams going tit for tat on the flags DS managed to score 2 in a row and therefore put them in front on the count. With AUS left trying to get to that last flag DS defended it until they had there last flag was in and they had won the map.

MAP 2 Misty Field

On the second map AUS was out classed with DS going strong from the bell and not letting up for one second. The flags that where scored in this map where hard fought and required the use of all players to get them home.
DS started to base rape and did not stop, with AUS trying everything in the bag of tricks to get out and score flags. Once again in this map lag was a factor, but it seemed to affect AUS more the DS.

In this map the outcome was needed to be a win for AUS or at least a draw, well it ended up being a draw so AUS was still in the match with a chance.
The flags went into there respective bays very slowly with very one being a hard fought battle for just one little flag. Trying out as a med and coverer going forward for the flags worked with some sucess how ever will need more work in the future.

Map 4 saw AUS going so strong that it almost seemed like there was no operstion at all. For some reason DS just stopped and it became very easy to move around and to get flags. With the AUS players talking it up and egging all the others on it very quickly became a one sided affair. Outstanding players on this map where SilverBullet*AUS* with 2 Flags and 11 Kills, and Cat~DS~ with 2 Flags and 15 Kills.

The final map and the last chance for AUS to make the win, the only chance was to get all the flags and to get them quick, also in conjunction stopping DS from getting there flags was also very important. This was caused by the fact that if AUS won the final map the win would come down to flag count back which would and ended up being AUS as the over all winners. Well done to MMoose*AUS* player of the match and also very well done to all those players that played in the match it was a team effort to get us home for the win.
