AUS Players:
SASR, SilverBullet, Firebird, Snappy, The BFG, Deathstar, Specty.
Ozi Players:
Dirty Joe, B, Dingo, BB, Mason, COW.
Game 1:
The match started with a furious pace with Mason getting a couple of
early kills. From the get go it looked like it was going to be a
hard fought battle. AUS lacked a little organization at the
beginning of the map. Most of our players headed towards the right
of the screen, while Ozi seemed to be concentrating most of their
attack towards our left This was a game that went right down to the
wire, even though CAW dropped out of the game after complaining of
lag. Ozi, to their credit continued to play with 5 players. AUS got
out to a quick lead, but seemed to slow in the middle section of the
game, allowing Ozi back in to the game. Scores were tied up until
the last few seconds when SASR brought home the last flag.
For Ozi, Dirty Joe was a standout, getting 3 of the flags and
making 1 save.
Firebird, as usual gave great cover fire, with SB getting some
great kills when it mattered. Snappy spent most of the game going
kill for kill with Mason.(he’s a real hard bugger to kill). SASR was
almost unstoppable getting the flags. SB grabbed a couple of flags
as well as getting heaps of kills.
Game2:
This map started a little slower than the first, with both sides
trying to feel out weakness’ in each other’s tactics. Both teams
started with 5 players. The match was a real arm-wrestle with the
big guns a blazing. Most of the action was happening at the big hill
with both sides trying their hardest to push the other back. Snappy
provided some cover fire from the left hill. SB and FB dropped out,
and Deathstar came in for some practice. This worked a treat with
Deathstar collecting himself 3 flags. BFG gave him a hand with 2
flags and a whopping 5 saves. SASR did his bit by adding another
flag.
DJ was the only Ozi player to grab a flag, but made 3 saves. Well
done DJ!
Towards the end of the map another of Ozi’s players dropped out
giving AUS another numerical advantage.
Game 3:
This game was played as a free for all, with tactics going out the
window. Most of AUS did not stay to finish the map.
Player of the game:
Dirty Joe Ozi
Well done to both teams for a good game. Lets hope we can resolve
any controversy before we start playing.
