Summary |
This match was against the
European & American squad ~Sv~ and was a long awaited rematch for they
beat us on their server in a previous encounter. However the planning of
the game was messed up as it was actually set on Saturday 9pm not as
said in the forums where it said Sunday lol, so all of a sudden getting
a icq message from Plague Sv –they were waiting 30 mins for us that
night and I had to clean up and help organise some troops- namely two
new members to *AUS* Gabriel and lordoth. Luckily JohnBoy’s dedicated
server and a sufficient number of players were available, and we were
able to set up our lag friendly server. Good one Snappy ;-) |
Map One (Ghost Town) - ~Sv~ Wins |
The game started in convincing fashion for *AUS* as we took the zone first and with firepower held the relenting ~Sv~ away from the zone. FireBird camped from our hill m4’ing them and did well but ~Sv~’s snipers gave him a tough fought battle over long range. JohnBoy and me (SB) were providing heavy support and stopping the opponents advances, and at some points on their hill base raping to good effect, and Gabriel and me were the only consistent zone sitters achieving good times. However I must say it was a struggle towards the last 15 min’s of the match as ~Sv~ were fighting back, PS raped us good, and a few of our players dropped out. Also I must point out was the lack of communication between the players, RW was available but not used to full effect, and with the only single medic- precious lives and times went down the drain. However we did dominate the map, but ~Sv~ held it in the times that mattered and won the map, leaving us pondering how we didn’t win it.

Map Two (Mayans Ruins) - *AUS* Wins |
With a bit of disappointment losing map 1 in which we played quite well, we were looking forward to improving that performance over in this map, lol how wrong we were J It was a shamble as ~Sv~ had up to 4 players going forward and raping us on the hills preventing us from getting to the zone, and when we did it never got held on for long. It was a bit unorganised as some of the guys stayed back and sniped and it wasn’t very clear in the positions of the players, just kill, kill kill! Lordoth came back as a medic and med-packs were in high demand as ~Sv~’s SAW’s and FN MAG’s blasted us from 400m+ Some weird shit happened in the middle of the game as Balistic*AUS* joined the game when we already had the allocated 6 players lol. ~Sv~ prompted for us to lose a player and it took bloody ages under the confusion and actually 2 players dropped out instead-leaving us undermanned for a while until Balistic came and then went with his pc problems-this also happened to ~Sv~ as they had an extra player for a while but eventually lost one. FireBird did well with his .50 reflecting his good kills, but it was bloody hard to get to the zone and go forward, and it was obvious that ~Sv~ had much experience with these maps and on overseas servers. However, the zone was up for grabs in the last minute of the game and we managed to take it and hold it, and a good job to Gabriel as he topped the scores once again…how did we win that? lol

Well after that hammering and surprise win, it left it at 1 game a piece, with map 3 the decider. Although the zone belonged to ~Sv~ for a majority of the game, I thought it was well played by both sides and it was a very tough game. It was a battle for control of the mountain as both teams utilized its height to gain an advantage and suppress the opponents. We used it too with good effect but ~Sv~ were more consistent and raped us big time preventing and clearing us from the zone, and their score reflected this. It wasn’t a very flashy performance by us as for more then half way through the game we were down a man and with nobody filling that spot our patience was being tested and it was very frustrating the way things were going. So when I finally got in the zone and camped, I minimized LW, turned on ICQ and called in HornyDevil to come in…when I returned I was a smoldering corpse lol J Luckily we had the extra player as at vital times time zone was up for grabs and it kept changing hands every minute. Gabriel had a tactic that proved quite useful and enabled us to hold down those hill dancin’ rapers and improve our killing, and ~Sv~ blew up a few huts for cover and camouflage. Although we were outplayed we managed to hold the zone in the vital last moments of the game and secured a 2-1 victory J Phew…

Thanks for the match ~Sv~ and although it was short-noticed it was fair and a worthwhile game. Looking forward to the rematch already as we know you’re out to get our asses lol.
