OCEANIC TOURNEY

On the 08 Nov 01 AUS played in the next round of the oceanic Flagball tourney against OZI. The match was hosted by Johnboy*AUS* on his dedicated T1 server. The match started a little late due to manning problems on both sides, with only 5 players turning up in the chat room before the match we had to go looking for players to make up a full team. But non-the less the players that did turn up played well with the match being a draw.

MAP 1 Winter Trenches 1

AUS PLAYERS- Johnboy*AUS*, SilverBullet*AUS*, MMoose*AUS*, Firebird*AUS*, Slaughter*AUS* and Klayman*AUS*.

OZI PLAYERS- P*OZI*, DJ*AUS*, B*OZI*, gc*OZI*, and R*OZI*.

In the first map the tactic of pairing up with a medic was tried with some success, however somewhere along the lines messages where mixed up and we started the game with 4 medics (lol), god only knows how that happened but was soon rectified.

OZI came out strong and grabbed the first flag and ran like all hell straight for their flagbay. After that the flags where harder to get as AUS put a fight over the flag and the enemy found it harder to get the flag back to there base to score. After 3 flags had been won the person that was carrying the flag got killed and from then on the flag went AWOL. Outstanding players in this map were – Johnboy*AUS* with 26 kills and P*OZI* with 24 kills and 1 flag.

OZI PLAYERS- P*OZI*, DJ*AUS*, B*OZI*, gc*OZI*, and R*OZI* and H*OZI*.

The second map saw much the same start with OZI coming out very strongly but with AUS grabbing the flag first and going straight for the flagbay and with the assistance of the whole team the flag was in the bay quiet quickly and the battle for the flag started all over again. OZI grabbed the second flag and found it difficult to make the point with flag going through more hands then a football team OZI finally go the flag into their bay. From then on neither team could get a flag, as the going was very tuff. Outstanding players in this map were- Klayman*AUS* with 1 flag the only one for AUS and P*OZI* with 1 flag there only one too.

MAP 3 Texes Kick-off

AUS PLAYERS- Johnboy*AUS*, SilverBullet*AUS*, MMoose*AUS*, Camouflage*AUS*, Slaughter*AUS* and Klayman*AUS*.

OZI PLAYERS- P*OZI*, DJ*AUS*, B*OZI*, gc*OZI*, and R*OZI* and H*OZI*. 

On the last map AUS seem to come out stronger then OZI with the flag being picked up quickly and taken back to the bay and the second one following not to long after that. With primarily the flag being carried by one person and the rest of the team giving covering fire the flags were taken and secured in the flagbay very quickly. AUS had 3 flags within the first third of the map, but OZI came up with a bit of a counter strike and took a flag. AUS picked up the next flag and were sitting on it waiting for the team to gain the advantage around the flag respawn point but too much time was taken and the flag was automatically put back to the respawn point. Outstanding players of this map were Klayman*AUS* with 2 flags and P*OZI* with 1 flag. But well done to all the team for the teamwork and putting down the covering fire.
