AUS Players – SilverBullet, Piddlepot, Soul, The BFG, HornyDevil and Aussie Dog.

The second game in the CTF Oceanic Tourney was played on 24^th  of June.

AUS still practicing CTF and also playing AIF the week before AUS were very ready to play and win this time. With some of the BIG guns sitting this on out we knew we must win this at least to make up for the lose against AIF.

With a good number of people in the chat room b4 the game saw some of the newer members having a go and also making it hard to get the team together.

MAP 1:
After a delayed start and some confusion in the chat room the game started well and AUS grabbing 2 flags minutes after the start GH took awhile to retaliate but they didn’t make it easy as most of GH using SAWs and The BFG using the MM-1 didn’t help he didn’t even medic any one!

After some shoot outs GH did get 2 flags AUS did the same scoring another 2 flags. Silverbullet making it very hard for them as he used his FN MAH to full effect, while GH were trying to stop S-B, Hornydevil got away with one of the harder flags.

Now with one flag left for AUS, GH were left to defend against oncoming barrage of bullets from S-B, PP and Soul with The BFG nading and getting used as target practice.

GH didn’t last long before AUS had the last flag and with A-dog camping, god only knows stoping them getting any more flags.

But before the game ended GH scored one more flag.

AUS 6 - GH 3

MAP 2:
After a convincing defeat from map 1 GH started to have trouble maintaining people in the game as I think they got lagged out but only S-B had computer trouble and dropped out in the 1^st min in to the game.

Lucky this time The BFG was back to using a FN MAG and was owning the map most of the time by dancing on top of the hill looking down on Blue base.

This map was the quickest as GH didn’t get any flags and AUS scoring most of them in the first couple of minutes.

By the time S-B came back it was all over.

MAP 3:
Now with 2 wins to AUS was more relaxed but still wanted to win the last and same with GH as they really wanted to make up for the last 2 loses.

This map was played twice as the server dropped out about half way through the match.

A few minutes in to the real game and both teams had scored as AUS scoring 2 and GH scoring 1.

PP and S-B decided to own the middle hill and the rest of the team went for the flags after those 2 had scored 2 flags each.

GH were still having trouble maintaining there team and S-B dropped out again but was able to get back in time to nab some flags in the real game.

It wasn't long before AUS were onto their last flag and GH were left to defend it and like the first game it wasn’t easy to get. But after some support fire from S-B and PP on the main hill GH lost there grip of the last flag and AUS were able to get some one in there and out.

HornyDevil and The BFG with Soul there as backup we managed to get the flag back to base and end the game.

I have to mention the lack of use of wilco, it was lucky that most of us were able to hold our own as there wasn’t much of a team effort.

It was more like a who was going to get the most flags which is good but you have to remember it’s a team effort!
