*AUS* vs ~OZI~

Summary
Report by Snappy:

The much anticipated local derby was once again in full swing. The guys and girls from oZi and AUS another game of LW. AUS has recently enjoyed a good record over oZi, winning many of the recent encounters.

 MAP 1:

We knew that oZi were going to rely heavily on the two home grown gunners in Pointless and DirtyJoe. With their O/S players being the zoners. AUS decided that the best way to attack this was to hit oZi with three assaulters and two zoners, and try and keep the oZi zoners out of the zone. It looked as though the oZi guys were finding it difficult to penetrate the zone. All except DJ, who on a number of occasions got in behind our zone and was able to keep our assaulters suppressed. This ploy could have worked, if he had help from Pointless in the gunning department. Unfortunately P was finding it difficult to get in to the groove with three of the AUS assaulters taking pot shots at him. As for DJ, every time he got in to a good spot, he was owned by Snappy…but who’s keeping count  :-P  .

MAP 2:

DS dropped out of this map, letting NightWolf gain some tourney experience. With a decided high ground advantage, the oZi guys took the ball up and ran with it. The plan from the oZi guys seemed the same. Pointless was on the high ground, trying to cut us off from the zone, while DJ was on the other side trying to do the same. AUS held the zone for a good 5 minutes before oZi took them out. From then on it was a tussle to stay in the zone. The oZi team was in the zone for the last 2 minutes, with AUS unable to clear them out. Well played on this map oZi.

 MAP 3:

This map was crunch time. With one map a piece both sides were determined to take the zone and hold it. SxB was in the zone first and stayed there for almost the whole 10 min before being picked off. She did however take countless oZi players with her. It looked as though oZi were going to have their hands full keeping the AUS assaulters down in this game, and again depended heavily on the two gunners in P and DJ. The skill of the AUS guys in this map was just too much for the oZi guys, with P unable to find a spot again. DJ on the other hand had a crack at the AUS assaulters and tried to take the high ground. He and Snappy had another battle on the hill, with DJ proclaiming that he was the victor and asking to be placed in the report. The author testifies that DJ did kill Snappy at least 5 times during that game, although Snappy was still able to get the best kill/death average of the map. Well done to DJ for the valiant effort. The AUS guys played very well and even amazed Pointless who in the dying seconds was seen to write “Amazing”.

All up the match was played in good spirits. It would have been good to shake hands with the oZi guys after the game, so to speak, but it was late and it appears that they all had to go to sleep.

Well played oZi, and well played AUS.
